I
am a friend of the USS Salem Museum, Quincy, Mass,. USA. We have
begun to restore U-5075. Here are some views of the new paint
job. There is a lot more work to be done. We are now collecting
information about Seehunde and photographs of Commander Arnold
Krug and U-5075. We will share this with you.
Attached
are three photographs. I will send you more information and photographs
in a separate e-mail.
Respectfully
yours,
Peter

We
have sent many close-up photographs of U-5075 to OTW Designs.
About in April they will be selling a highly accurate radio controlled
kit of the Seehund.
The
attached pictures show the plug that will be used to build the
mold. There is a strong interest in this large kit because of:
the Seehund's excellent maneuverability,
its torpedoes can be operational,
OTW is a reputable company selling accurate, detailed reproductions.
The sale price will be about $775 US plus shipping.
I
have been sending Seehund information to members of the SubCommittee,
an international club for submarine model builders. We have been
collecting information about Seehunde and our latest discoveries
have come from recently declassified reports and memos.
We
had a small memorial service for Arnold Krug and his leading engineer.
And we have been keeping Commander Krug's family informed about
what we are doing.
Respectfully
yours,
Peter Wihtol
